Busy, Busy, Busy

This last week has gone fast. Saturday we went over to a friends house for brunch. Aiden made a new friend and even after being there for 5 hours he didn't want to leave when it was time to go. Jacobi was just too much fun.

I've been busy filling orders, organizing and moving the items that came out of the closet where the stairs are going in, to the basement, creating new chipboard sets for the store, and trying to keep up with Aiden.
Here are my latest creations:

Steve is still very much enjoying his new job. He is working on a big new project and has their truckers mile reports to the point where it takes him 45 minutes to do what it used to take 2 people all week to do. His boss keeps telling him he's a genius. Steve doesn't believe him, but I do :)

Aiden has learned a lot of new words this week. He says lights, up, help, nose, sit, door, potty, book, dog, mine, walk and fish. He is loving nursery. The last 15 minutes of Sacrament Meeting he says go out? and play? As soon as the prayer is done he is out of there. If he gets ahead of us he stands in front of the nursery door until we get there and can let him in.

Last night we went to Leo's Place again for Alexis' and Caleb's birthday party. Aiden really enjoyed himself. I took the camera, and of course the batteries died when I turned it on to take the first picture. So we'll make sure to get pictures the next time we go.

Aiden and Steve enjoying one of thier Christmas Gifts

Sunday's Great Tie Debate (we go through this almost every week; usually with the same results)

We hand Aiden two ties and ask him which one he wants to wear.

He looks at them.

He plays with them.

He finally decides.

We put the tie on, he usually cries and complains until we take it off or he gets it off himself. Very rarely he is actually okay with it and will wear the tie.

Sleeping and Bathtime

We haven't been up to too much lately. Steve added some weather stripping to a few of the older windows that were really leaking. It seems to help a lot.

Last Friday we went to a restaurant called Leo's Place. It is kind of like a Chuck E. Cheese, only the food is actually really good. We went with Kris and Ashley and their little girl Aubrey who is about a year older than Aiden, and Brendell and Tiffany and their two boys Jacobi (4), and Cooper (1). They have a play area with tunnels and slides. Aiden loved it and we spent 20 minutes convincing him to come out when it was time to go.

Not too much else going on. I teach the 12/13 year olds in Sunday School and Steve has the same boys in Scouts, so with the new year we got a new group of kids. They are quite the group. The last two weeks a member of the bishopric has come in to sit with them during class (apparently they have a reputation for being rowdy!)

Aiden loves bathtime lately. He lays on the little chair and pretends to swim, or he blows bubbles. We'll have to see if there is a swimming class up at the YMCA (which is just two minutes away) that he can participate in.

He also sits in the tub and pours water through a funnel and sings what sounds like Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree. (It's all in hums).

Aiden and his crazy ways of sleeping. The other day he was actually asleep with his cup in the air. Him and that cup. He doesn't actually drink it to fall asleep, he just holds it like a teddy bear.

Snapshots and Aiden's newest accomplishments

Here are a couple of pictures we've taken over the last week or so.

Naptime and he was completely out...

Playing in his clubhouse. He likes to play peek-a-boo. He will also make you sit just outside the door and stick just his hands out the door, wiggle his fingers and say "tickle, tickle" although is sounds more like tic-a tic-a.

Watching the snow fall and the crazy squirrels running around in it.

Aiden has been talking a lot more lately. He says, oh no, marble, wait, hot hot, cup, drink, chicken (for chicken nuggets, he loves them), and diaper. There might be a few other new ones, but I can't think of anymore.

He also likes helping me bake and do housework. His favorite is making the bed. He throws the pillows off, then pulls on the blankets, makes grunting noises like he is working really hard and says "pull, pull". When I make cookies he turns the bowl or holds the blender. He also helps me vacuum by holding the cord.

You guessed it, more Christmas Videos

Photobucket will only let you upload them in short chunks, so it's taking a while. But here are a few more:

New Dining set

We finally got our new dining table here and put together. Aiden really liked sitting at the table like a big boy and copying whatever Dad eats. He tried a pear for the first time at dinner, just because Steve was eating one.

My favorite feature, the seats open up like a piano bench for extra storage.

Our Five Year Anniversary

Yep it's today. Hard to believe it's been that long. A lot has happened though. We've both graduated from college, Aiden was born, we've lived in five different homes, 2 states, bought a home and owned 3 different cars.

Christmas Continues...

A few more videos.

We couldn't get it on tape because Aiden went in the other room, but he went and got is coloring stuff, and brought it back so he could color.
